Benjamin Moore Environmental Design & Microsite

How does a decades-old design center build relationships with the next generation of interior designers? The 2017 Color Experience challenged local interior design students to compete to create the most compelling space using Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year and products from LA Mart Design Center showrooms. A panel of notable judges — HGTV designer Bobby Berk, ASID designer Fernando Diaz, and blogger Jeannie Chung — weighed in on the semi-finals and finals to determine the winners.

In this sprint, we worked with the LAMDC and Benjamin Moore staff to quickly develop an identity that would work with both organizations brand guidelines, while taking on a look of its own. We then extended that look to produce a full suite of communications materials, including: signage throughout LA Mart and the Design Challenge space, ballots for judges and LA Mart visitors, Facebook ads, and a SquareSpace-hosted microsite.

““We are delighted to be announcing this exciting new collaboration with Benjamin Moore as a way of nurturing new design talent.”
